Germany has seen a slight decrease in the number of coronavirus cases registered in a single day to reach around 450, among the more than 500 of the previous day, as the agency reported Wednesday from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) to government agency is responsible for the control of infectious diseases in the country.
The RKI has detailed that 454 other coronavirus cases have been discovered in the last 24 hours, compared to 522 that were announced on Tuesday, although the number was much lower on Monday: 249 newly infected. The number now rises to 202,799 infected.
Five more deaths were counted last day, a total of 9,095 deaths while another 188,600 COVID-19 were overcome.
The German authorities have indicated that the R-value or reproductive rate of the virus is 1.04 – compared to 1.15 on Tuesday, which means that each positive infects a different person on average.
