Germany extends contact restrictions for corona viruses until June 29

May 27, 2020

The German government and 16 states agreed on Tuesday that human contact restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic will be extended until June 29.

However, states can decide to relax some restrictions starting June 6, including limiting sessions to a maximum of ten people or a maximum of two people if they are held in private homes.

State officials have agreed to relax or tighten other rules that regulate pandemic behavior in public spaces based on local COVID-19 infection rates.

This is the case, for example, in Thuringia, where attempts are being made to mitigate some measures more if the number of infections remains low, while other countries are taking more care.
