Germany exceeds 212,000 coronavirus cases by adding more than 700 on the last day

Germany has registered over 700 new cases of coronavirus in the past few hours, bringing the total to over 212,000, as reported on Wednesday by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the government agency responsible for fighting infectious diseases, in the country.

According to the RKI, there were 741 new positives and twelve further deaths in these 24 hours, so that the balance of the victims of COVID-19 in Germany increased to 212,022 infected and 9,168 deaths.

In addition, the government agency has detailed that 194,600 of the total confirmed cases have recovered, around 600 more than on Tuesday.

Likewise, the RKI has indicated that the virus has had a reproductive rate over the past ten days or an R value of 1.02 compared to 1.09 the previous day, meaning that every infected person infects a person on average.
