Germany confirms around 300 deaths from coronavirus and exceeds the limit of 78,000 deaths

The German authorities this Friday confirmed around 300 deaths from coronavirus on the last day, bringing the European country to the 78,000 death line, at a time when it is nearing three million infections in the context of the pandemic.

The Robert Koch Institute, the government agency responsible for fighting infectious diseases, stated on its website that there were 25,464 cases and 296 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 2,956,316 and 78,003, respectively.

It was also noted that the cumulative incidence rate over the past seven days is 110.4 cases per 100,000 population, with around 218,600 active cases.

On the other hand, it has estimated the total number of people who have so far recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, to be around 2,647,600, including around 16,200 in the last 24 hours.
