Germany confirms 50 deaths from coronavirus and exceeds the limit of 70,000 deaths

The German authorities confirmed 50 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours this Monday, which, according to the Robert Koch Institute, means that the European country has exceeded the limit of 70,000 deaths as part of the pandemic.

The agency, the government agency responsible for controlling infectious diseases, said on its website that 8,497 cases were detected on the last day, bringing the total to 2,893,883, with 77,013 deaths to date.

It was also reported that the cumulative incidence rate over the past seven days is 128 cases per 100,000 population, with approximately 235,300 active cases.

On the other hand, it has estimated the total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, to be around 2,581,500, including around 12,100 in the last 24 hours.
