The French Ministry of Health warned on Monday that the spread of coronavirus “is increasing” in the country, while indicating that 207 COVID-19 outbreaks are currently active.
“The virus is spreading domestically,” said the French Ministry of Health in a statement saying that since May 9, 539 outbreaks have been identified, nine new in the past 24 hours. According to portfolio 332, these are already “closed”.
“This leads to an increase in the number of visits to emergency doctors, visits to health centers, an increase in groups and hospital stays,” he said. “This moderate increase is part of the context in which a very inadequate proportion of patients with symptoms undergo a virological test and isolate themselves,” he added.
The French health authorities focused on Mayenne and found that “the epidemiological situation is developing in the region with an incidence and a high rate of positive tests”.
