France reports nearly 4,900 new COVID-19 infections, the highest daily record since the lockdown ended

The French government this Sunday reported 4,897 new cases of coronavirus detected in the past 24 hours. This is the highest daily record since he ended his detention last May. However, only one death has been reported, bringing the total death toll to 30,513.

The daily number of infections is well above the 3,602 reported on Saturday, while the total number of positive infections since the pandemic began is 242,899.

The bulletin also includes 333 outbreaks being tracked, 32 more in the past 24 hours, and 4,709 hospitalized patients, of whom 383 are in intensive care.

Up to 38 departments are in a medium or high vulnerability situation, while another 8 are in a high vulnerability situation: Bouches du Rhône, Guyana, Hérault, Loiret, Paris, Sarthe, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val de Marne.
