French health authorities reported 4,203 new cases of coronavirus this Monday, a daily number of infections well below the record of more than 9,000 infections last Friday. The bulletin contains 25 deaths from the new disease recorded in the past 24 hours.
With the new cases, France is already collecting 328,980 cases of COVID-19. 30,726 of these correspond to deceased patients. A total of 1,898 new hospital stays were registered in the last seven days, 326 of them in the intensive care unit.
The number of outbreaks investigated also increased to a total of 562 to 58 more than on Sunday at a crucial point in time due to the start of the school year and the progressive normalization of work activity.
By region, there are currently 68 departments “in a medium or high vulnerability situation,” according to public health.
