France confirms more than 2,500 cases of coronavirus and speaks of a “net deterioration” in indicators

The French government this Wednesday confirmed more than 2,500 cases of coronavirus last day, pointing to a “net deterioration” in indicators of the pandemic over the past few days amid a recovery in infections.

The French Ministry of Health detailed in a statement that there have been 2,524 new cases and 17 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 206,696 and 30,371 respectively.

He also pointed out that 4,891 people are currently being hospitalized for COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, including 379 admitted to resuscitation units due to the severity of their condition.

The ministry has indicated that 18 more outbreaks were confirmed in the country on the last day, and the number of coronavirus tests carried out in the European country has been estimated at around six million since the pandemic began.
