France confirms more than 12,000 cases of coronavirus and is approaching the threshold of 600,000 infections

The French government this Friday confirmed more than 12,000 cases of coronavirus last day, bringing the country closer to the limit of 600,000 cases that could be exceeded on Saturday if this level of infection is maintained.

French Public Health reported in its most recent review that there have been 12,148 infections and 48 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 589,653 and 21,155, respectively.

However, during Thursday’s day, it had reported a total of 32,019 deaths from COVID-19 without commenting on the reasons for the rise, implying a total of 139 new casualties instead of the 48 it officially reflects.

He also stressed that 4,058 people have been hospitalized for the virus in the past seven days, 835 of them in resuscitation units due to the severity of their condition.
