Four people die after the Philippine Army rescue helicopter crashes

At least four people died Wednesday after a Philippine Army rescue helicopter crashed in Basilan Province as the weather worsened in the Asian country.

Nasser Abdurakman, a spokesman for the Philippine Army, has elaborated that the event took place in Lantawan, adding that the deceased were the pilot, copilot and two crew members, as reported by the Philippine news agency PNA.

He also stated that the helicopter took off from Edwin Andrew Air Force Base and went to Joló to pick up a patient before realizing the causes of the accident had not yet been determined by the authorities.
