The U.S. state of Florida has confirmed more than 12,000 new cases and more than 120 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours. This is clear from the latest balance sheet that the Ministry of Health presented on Saturday.
There are 12,115 infections and 124 deaths, increasing the total number of cases to 414,511 across the state where 5,777 residents and 117 people from other countries have died.
The American chain CNN has estimated that this Saturday is the tenth consecutive day that the state has suffered more than 100 deaths a day.
Florida remains one of the major epicentres of the epidemic in the United States, along with other states in the so-called “Belt of the Sun” that runs through the warmest areas in the country.
