Argentine President Alberto Fernández warned this Saturday about the increase in the number of coronavirus cases that have occurred in the country after the measures to limit the population in the capital and the province of Buenos Aires were relaxed.
“There is no other way than to go unnoticed that we are in a very complicated situation: we are seeing an increasing number of cases and an acceleration of infections,” the president assured in an interview with the Argentine radio station El Destape.
“It is not free to look at stained glass, it is not free to walk on the street, it is not free to run,” said Fernández. He also stressed that if citizens “maintained the discipline that we had at the beginning” it would be possible to “stop this” in relation to the increase in the positive results of COVID-19.
The Argentine president highlighted that the current problem caused by the pandemic and the need for beds in medical centers to care for patients is compounded by the difficulties caused by other diseases such as flu, pneumonia or pneumonia.
