Argentine President Alberto Fernández stressed this Sunday his “commitment” to the most vulnerable Argentine people and “to those who have the least” in the country.
“Let everyone know that I am next to you. The central goal of our policy is to help you and move you from where you are today. We will do it together. We have to get used to being an inclusive country in that nobody feels too much. ” Fernández has declared.
In a tribute to former First Lady Eva Perón, the President affirmed that Peronism’s engagement with the most humble is based on the fact that “the problems of others become my problem if I know this problem”.
With that in mind, he pointed out that the best way to remember Eva Perón is to be next to “those who need it most”. “In this pandemic era, we cannot afford to part with those who need it most,” he added, according to the Télam agency.
The President stressed the importance of not forgetting “who we represent”. “We came into politics to be the voice of those who don’t have a voice and to give rights to those who don’t. That’s the reason for our existence,” he said.
