Federal agent shot dead and another injured in protests in Oakland, California

One federal agent has died and another was firearms-injured in an incident that was investigated during the protests in Oakland, California against the death of black citizen George Floyd during a police arrest in Minneapolis, for criminal prosecution for murdering one of the agents Degrees.

The shootout took place in the federal building at Oakland Down Town, where two agents from the Federal Protective Service, a facility of the Department of Homeland Security, were hit. According to the police, one of the officers succumbed to the injuries.

More than 7,500 people gathered in Oakland that Saturday night to protest Floyd’s death. According to the CNN, the police have checked numerous vandalism, looting and property damage.

There is also evidence of another death during the protests in the city of Detroit, where a 19-year-old man also died from firearms.

The incident, which is still under investigation, happened around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday after a vehicle driver shot at a crowd of demonstrators, reports The Detroit News.
