en Español (ENT): How was your process as an entrepreneur?

Martha Debayle (MD): I do not have a background Finance and economics, so I was very guided by my instincts and intuition. Besides, I always had the ears and the heart very open to the audience to understand what they want.

From the day he was born BB worldAlmost 21 years ago, with the idea of generating content for parents, I realized there was a lot out there little information, intelligent, deep and strict for new parents.

When I decided to do magazines BB world, then with The beauty effect and moiMuch is instinctual and seeing the results of the audience on different platforms such as social networks. We realized how much they loved the way we curated content, and that’s why we decided to get three titles down on paper, even though the publishing industry was on the up at the time.

Likewise when I did Martha Debayle homewho have been products for the home, the clothing line or the introduction of the shampoo are all very natural things to me because It’s things that I love, I identify myself and people recognize me.

All of this was born not just for the pleasure of sharing with people what I’m passionate about, but because I realize that there are people out there who are very similar in my relationship. All business initiatives were instinctive to meet market needs.

ENT: What can you say from your experience of doing business in mid-2020 to women entrepreneurs?

MD: 1. Have a plan

Make it clear where you are going, what you want to achieve, be ready to carry that weight, make your project a reality and let it grow.

2. Don’t be afraid

I think we often stop doing a lot of things because we are scared of failure and when that happens it’s just a difficult lesson but you have to get up and move on.

Don’t be afraid to jump. When you have to have what few have in life, you always have to be ready to do what few do.

3. Be very careful

You have to be very concerned about the flow of your business. Now we have seen the pandemic, those who had a reserve were able to survive, on the other hand those who lived day to day thundered. A good operating reserve.

4. Be persistent

Don’t give up, don’t throw in the towel, talent is overrated, and the people who succeed are the ones who work, work, and work. It is the one who is ready to do what needs to be done to achieve what you want to achieve.

ENT: How was the transition from your radio show, your magazines and working with brands to yourself and a recognized name?

MD: The time you invest in each thing. Building a business and a brand takes a lot of effort and money. As long as you are ready to do what you want, things will work out.

In this case, it will take good care of her and Be congruent between what I think, do, say, and feel because if you are a brand you have to be consistent with your message. Because of this, my lines have to do with me, like the ones at home, the hair, also the clothes and all the projects coming in 2021. Everything is very much in line with who I am, as well as my values under which I live and represent. I think honesty is what makes what we do successful.

ENT: Where did your passion for fashion come from and why did it become a business factor?

MD: I come from one grandmother and one a lot Fashionistas who have always taken care of their image. I remember my grandmother arranging the sleeves of the dresses, forming the shoulder, putting them back and lifting the skirt. For her it was absolutely everything, for my mother. Both were super elegant and posh, with very personal taste and style. My love for looking good and flawless certainly comes from them.

During those years, people told me on social media that they loved some of my clothes. And then I said, why not make a collection of good quality clothes with a top Mexican brand like Ivonne at affordable prices? with great fabrics that we brought with us from Spain, France, Turkey and Italy, for all women who want to get dressed and feel sensational.

ENT: How do you feel now when you attract Mexican women and women from all over the world?

MD: For me, it’s an honor to share a little of what I like. But the most important thing is to do things of quality at a good price and believe that the day we get dressed there will be women feel like a trillion dollars, motivated, inspired and able to face the world, strengthened, invincible and unbeatable. This is the best present.
