The UK Home Office has reported that nine boats have been intercepted with 125 migrants attempting to reach the British coasts in the past few hours. Another 18 were caught by the French authorities in two other boats.
Migrants whose citizenship is not known are interviewed and detained in accordance with applicable immigration regulations, the ministry said, and the British chain BBC collects.
The first boat was caught around midnight. There were 14 men on board. From this point on, boats with eight to 19 people continued to arrive.
In addition to these figures, another 18 migrants were to be intercepted by the French authorities in the English channel. Three of them were in a kayak and another 15 were in a damaged boat and returned to France.
