Egypt will hold two-phase elections to elect the lower house from October 25th

The Egyptian Electoral Commission announced this Thursday that the country will hold parliamentary elections on October 25, a process that will have a second phase in early November.

The organization’s president, Lashin Ibrahim, has stated that the vote will take place between October 25th and 26th, although overseas voters will have to deposit their ballot papers between the 21st and 23rd of this month.

It was also pointed out that the results of this first phase will be announced on November 1st, while the second round will take place between November 24th and 25th – between November 21st and 23rd – if necessary.

On the other hand, the second phase will take place on November 7th and 8th – between November 4th and 6th for foreigners abroad – with the results on November 15th and the second round on November 7th and 7th December 8th – between the 5th and 7th of this month for expats.
