Egypt surpasses 100,000 cases of coronavirus after registering nearly 200 new ones

The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced this Monday that 178 new cases of COVID-19 had been registered in the country, bringing the total number of people affected by the disease already to top 100,000.

According to the local newspaper ‘Al Ahram’, the Egyptian portfolio spokesman Khaled Mujahid currently has 100,041 cases of coronavirus in Egypt.

Likewise, Mujahid has reported that 11 new people have died as a result of the disease in Egypt in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 5,541. 79,008 people have managed to recover from COVID-19 in the country.
