Ecuador exceeded 112,900 confirmed cases of coronavirus this Saturday by registering 765 more on the final day, the Ministry of Health reported.
The agency has said 6,537 people have died from the pandemic, with an increase of 49 deaths in the past 24 hours, while a total of 80,264 patients have recovered from the disease.
Health officials have said 15,165 people have been discharged from the hospital. In addition, 879 people are hospitalized in stable condition and 357 with a reserved prognosis.
The Ecuadorian province of Guayas remains at the top in terms of the number of deaths since the pandemic began, with 1,676 and 18,736 infections, respectively. In terms of the number of cases, Pichincha ranks first with 23,726 positive and 919 deaths.
