The Ecuadorian Ministry of Health reported this Wednesday that a total of 48,490 coronavirus cases have been registered in the country, while the deaths have already reached 4,007.
In the Ecuadorian provinces, Guayas continues to lead the confirmed positive corona virus as it has registered 14,700. Pichincha, the second, registered 5,538. Manabí follows, 3,586 cases; Los Ríos, 2016; and El Oro with 1,595 cases.
The Ecuadorian health authorities, who indicated that 136,472 COVID-19 diagnostic tests were performed, also reported that 13,060 people had epidemiological discharge and 5,911 discharge from the hospital. 562 people are hospitalized in a stable condition, 239 have a reserved forecast.
The President of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, amended the decree regulating the state of emergency to combat the coronavirus in the Latin American country, thereby ending the original state of emergency signed on March 16.
