The government of Ecuador confirmed this Friday that 965 other coronavirus cases have occurred in the Latin American country in the past 24 hours and that 2,500 deaths from this cause have been exceeded.
In particular, the country has reached 2,594 deaths, while the total number of infections has risen to 31,467, according to the latest data provided by the Department of Health through its Twitter account.
The province with the highest number of infections remains Guayas with 12,081 cases, which is 53.6 percent of the total. Behind it are others like Pinchincha with 2,484 cases or Manabí with 1,374 cases.
So far, 3,433 patients in the country have recovered from the virus, according to the ministry.
