Ecuador exceeds 80,000 cases of coronavirus as the number of infections in Pichincha accelerates

Ecuador has exceeded 80,000 cases of coronavirus this Saturday as the number of infections caused in Pichincha province has increased, resulting in more than 200 positive cases in the past 24 hours.

In particular, the Ecuadorian health authorities have confirmed 80,036 cases of COVID-19 and 5,507 pandemic deaths.

In addition, the Ministry of Health has reported that as of this Saturday 5,900 patients have recovered, 10,697 people have been discharged from the hospital and 18,190 have been discharged epidemiologically.

Of the overall positive results, 38,816 are stable in isolation at home, 648 in hospital and stable, and 278 with a reserved prognosis.
