Ecuador exceeds 46,700 cases of coronavirus with nearly 4,000 deaths

The Ecuadorian Ministry of Health announced on Monday that 46,751 people in the Latin American country had been infected with coronaviruses and a total of 3,896 deaths from the disease were registered.

The Ecuadorian health authorities have also reported that 12,785 people have been epidemiologically discharged while 5,554 have been discharged from the hospital. In addition, 548 people remain in stable condition in the hospital and 230 have a reserved forecast.

According to provinces, Guayas registered the most cases of coronavirus with a total of 14,639 cases. Pichincha is behind her with 5,233 positives; Manabi, 3,335; Los Ríos, 1965; and finally El Oro with 1,514 infected.

In this context, the airports of the main Ecuadorian cities have resumed their national commercial flights after three months of closure as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the case at José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport in Guayaquil, from which two flights to Quito, the capital, have departed.
