The Ecuadorian Ministry of Health reported this Friday that the country has a total of 45,778 coronavirus cases and 3,828 deaths from the disease.
Similarly, health officials who said they performed 133,458 diagnostic tests for COVID-19 indicated that 12,669 people in Ecuador had an epidemiological discharge and 5,410 were discharged from the hospital. However, 549 people remain in the hospital, 221 with a reluctant prognosis.
Guayas is the most coronavirus province in Ecuador because it has 14,615 positive results. Pichincha is behind with 5,060; Manabi, 3,206 infected; Los Ríos, 1919; and El Oro, 1,442.
In this context, the Ecuadorian authorities have decided to suspend the personal working day for the public sector in the capital, Quito, until June 22, as government minister María Paula Romo announced via her Twitter account.
