The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has called for the death sentence for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is responsible for the terrorist attack that killed three people and injured 264 others at the finish line for the Boston Marathon on Sunday. April 15, 2013.
This Friday, an appeals court ruled to overturn the death sentence to which Tsarnaev was sentenced in 2015, as well as three of the 30 convictions that charged him, despite claiming that he will remain in federal prison for the rest of his life.
Trump, however, criticized the decision in a message on his Twitter account. “Death penalty. He killed and seriously injured many. Justice!” He wrote.
Appellate judges ruled that Judge George O’Toole, who was responsible for Tsarnaev’s trial, “did not comply” with the jury interrogation process to determine whether the sentence was impartial, which is sufficient grounds for a death sentence to be set aside. “gathers the CNN network.
