Digital art is coming to Ibiza in the form of NFTs

In Spain, the founders of Ibiza Token and Freeverse.io, a Barcelona-based startup, announced the launch of an NFT platform in Ibiza. This was reported by Diario de Ibiza in an article signed by Carmen Pi Cascales

As described in this publication, The aim is to support content creators and companies on the island and to connect local work with a global audience. The project is scheduled to start in early October.

Marco Frisina, one of the creators of the project, said: “We have been analyzing the island’s artistic market for a long time and have found that many authors lack visibility”.

Then he added, “The idea is that customers pay a fair price and that money goes almost entirely to the artist.”

The aim is to democratize art and its access routes. “Artists are very curious about this type of business because they see it as part of the future,” said Frisina.

In the Diario de Ibiza article, they stated that the Ibiza company is not only a platform where artists can display their work, but also intends that customers who purchase the NFTs qualify for discounts in the various companies, who want to be part of this project.
