Despite the announcement of the closure of Best Buy MexicoAIG Garanplus, the company’s insurer, announced that all insurance plans, as well as the guarantees acquired when purchasing products from the specialized technology chain, will remain in effect:
“We will continue to offer normal service and support all protection plans purchased from Best Buy until their expiration date so that our customers can simply rest. AIG Garanplus is the exclusive provider of protection plans for Best Buy Mexico, with whom we now have more than half a million active protection plans, ”commented Manuel Pérez Estrada, director of AIG Garanplus.
The only difference is that instead of going to the physical Best Buy stores, the interested parties agree with AIG Garanplus which of the more than 300 service centers they could take the damaged equipment to.
Users also have the option of renewing and expanding the protection plans of all devices. To take advantage of any of these benefits, customers must contact the insurer and provide the relevant information.
