Demonstrators against climate change cause cuts in rail service in East London

LONDON, Oct. 17 (Reuters / EP) –

Protesters against climate change have caused cuts in several points of the rail service in East London on Thursday, with some of the protesters sitting on commuter trains to prevent their operation, as shown in the images spread on social networks.

The London Transportation Police have reported that they have acted for incidents in Shadwell, Stratford and Canning Town, near the financial district of Canary Wharf, in the British capital.

“Arrests have already been made and officers are working to reactivate the services,” the London Transport Police said in a statement.
