The Syrian government has condemned the recent agreement. The Syrian State Department today condemned an agreement signed on Friday between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDS) facing Damascus and the U.S. company Delta Crescent, allegedly with the approval of the White House.
“This agreement is seen as an integrated and intensified robbery and can only be described as an agreement between thieves who steal and thieves who buy, which constitutes an attack on Syria’s sovereignty,” the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement by the official Syrian SANA news agency.
The agreement was unveiled by sources in the Al Monitor newspaper, and they said the negotiations included Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who is considered one of the great allies of President Donald Trump and had direct talks with the President-in-Chief FDS, Mazlum Kobani.
The sources did not go into detail about the company, just saying that they had developed “for a long time” in discussions and that they had obtained a license to operate in Syria.
