Once again, they accuse the plagiarism man who claims to have written the Bitcoin white paper, this time of his own doctoral thesis.
PaintedFrogThe pseudonymous writer who previously Craig Wright accused of plagiarizing his 2008 legal thesis for Northumbria University did his analysis of the Wright’s doctoral thesis 2017 from Charles Sturt University (CSU).
The blogger published alleged screenshots of Wright’s thesis., “Quantifying the Risk of Information Systems: A Look at Quantitative Responses to Information Security Problems”, along with several other sources of public access.
Cointelegraph contacted Dr. Wright turns and will update his answer to the allegations when he receives them.
What is plagiarism?
PaintedFrog accused Wright of “taking and rewriting huge amounts of content to avoid automated detection tools.”. In most cases, he simply replaced synonyms every few words. “
The difference between acceptable paraphrase and obvious plagiarism is a kind of gray area. However, according to the CSU’s own policy on academic misconduct, plagiarism can be defined as:
“… rewrite ideas from books, magazines, notes or tapes of your studies, the Internet, the work of other students, or another source without recognizing the source of these ideas through footnotes or quotations. Material copied from a source could be recorded as long as it is recognized, but presented as the student’s own paraphrase. “
The blogger stated that Wright did not adequately recognize the sources of various publications. According to email correspondence with various college professors from PaintedFrog, The CSU has launched an investigation into the matter.

PaintedFrog claims that the “spread of plagiarism” overshadows any Wright argument that “these are just a few mistakes”.
Wright is against plagiarism
The self-proclaimed Satoshi was very hard on counterfeiters and wrote in a 2011 article that “plagiarism can’t help but get stolen intellectual property”.
“The damage caused by plagiarism and the associated deception harm not only those involved, but also the entire information security community, if it is one of ours.”
Wright is very protective of its reputation and has taken legal action against numerous people in the crypto community who have accused it of fraud.. PaintedFrog said it chose to remain anonymous to avoid possible legal action.
