Apple could present several products in March, but the coronavirus outbreak suggested that its suppliers would not be prepared to distribute units in large quantities. Reports indicated that Foxconn , the largest iPhone assembler, closed production facilities in China, as the government seeks to curb the infection and, therefore, halted most of the manufacturing. However, there may not be a significant impact on Apple's plans after all.
In a research note obtained by, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that both the low-cost iPhone and the new iPad Pro will still debut this spring. Apple could go ahead and announce the hardware in the coming weeks. Given the modest specifications of the long-rumored iPhone model, Apple and its suppliers will not introduce innovative technologies that require further development. Everything that the features of the 'iPhone SE 2' or 'iPhone 9' should already be prepared. It's just a matter of partners like Foxconn reopening their factories.
Some details related to the camera are also found in the report. Kuo believes that Apple's iPhone SE 2 will not include a seven-element plastic lens. Like the iPhone 8, the iPhone SE 2 should have a six-element lens.
In general, it should also look like the iPhone 8 with a physical home button under its screen. Apple points to an economical price with this iPhone model, and that means that iconic qualities such as an edge-to-edge display and the configuration of multiple cameras are being left out. The good news is that Apple could still insert its updated A13 chip. The price could start at $ 399 (about 7,500 Mexican pesos at the current exchange rate) for the base configuration.
As for the new iPad Pro, there are not too many rumors that tell us what to expect. Apple is likely to modify the internal processor, present a triple camera configuration and possibly update the 12.9-inch model LCD screen with mini-LED technology. The new iPad Pro could also be thinner and lighter than the current iteration.
The MacBook line could gain some attention. Presumably, possible updates will focus on Intel chips inside MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Apple's iMac. It is not likely that there are significant alterations in your designs.
Everything should be made official in mid or late March if Apple suppliers return to regular production, and releases could continue at the end of the month or beginning of April.
