The global coronavirus pandemic has already left some 3,428,425 infections overall, and the number of deaths is 243,832, according to the balance sheet that American Johns Hopkins University updated this Sunday.
The United States is once again the global epicenter of the pandemic, with a growth rate of 30,000 cases per day and over 1,133,000 positive results. The death toll was 66,385, in New York alone 18,491.
This makes the United States by far the most affected country in the 187, when cases of Covid-19, the disease associated with the virus that occurred in the Chinese city of Wuhan in 2019, have been discovered. Spain is in second place with 216,582 infections and 25,100 deaths ahead of Italy – 209,328 infected and 28,710 dead – always according to the University of Baltimore.
The United Kingdom, which has dramatically increased its death toll this week after including those who lost their lives outside of hospitals, has recorded 28,131 deaths so far, while the number of positive ones is 183,500.
