French Health Ministry’s Director General for Health, Jérôme Salomon, has reported 437 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing France to 23,293 deaths.
The number represents a significant recovery compared to Sunday, when the French government reported 242 deaths. 389 people were killed on Friday.
France differentiates between 14,497 deaths in hospitals and 8,796 deaths in socio-sanitary facilities, mainly in nursing homes.
In addition, the Ministry of Health reports 128,339 confirmed cases and 28,055 hospitalizations, 162 fewer than on Sunday. In addition, 4,608 people are in intensive care, 74 fewer than on Sunday, and 45,513 were discharged and returned home.
