Coronavirus and a severe attack on a reporter at an opposition rally shake the election campaign in Uganda

The election campaign in Uganda has been interrupted in the last few hours by the authorities banning candidates from holding rallies in a dozen constituencies, including the capital Kampala, for violating the security regulations for the coronavirus and also for the serious attack on a reporter in critical State after receiving a suspected bullet while reporting on a meeting of prominent opposition candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, better known as “Bobi Wine”.
