The traveler should wear face masks on airplanes and be informed of the increase in cases of COVID-19 in some countries and meet nations like Australia that have imposed new restrictions. This was indicated by World Health Organization (WHO) by inviting people who move from one place to another to always be vigilant.

Margaret Harris, a spokeswoman for the WHO, asked people to find out about the coronavirus because “if it is anywhere, it is everywhere and people who travel need to understand it.”

Harris urged people not to be surprised by local outbreaks and quarantine measures because “this virus is widespread and people have to take it very, very seriously.”

In the past few weeks, WHO has announced that it will update its travel guides for the summer holidays in the northern hemisphere, but has not yet published the new recommendations.

“We see a lot of growth, a lot of changes in different countries, countries that have successfully stopped the first broadcasts are experiencing a recovery,” added Harris, highlighting the cases of Australia and Hong Kong where non-essential activities due to the emergence of new ones cases were closed.

WHO recommendations for travel include known healthy removal, constant hand washing, and avoiding touching your face. It should be noted that the WHO did not recommend wearing masks, but many airlines already require it.
