Colombia touches 400,000 cases of coronavirus after adding more than 10,000 new infections

There are already almost 400,000 cases of coronavirus in Colombia, as more than 10,000 new infections occurred in a single day. This is based on the latest information from the Ministry of Health.

In these 24 hours, 10,142 new positives and 312 deaths were registered, with which 397,623 people are already infected and 13,154 deaths. Additionally, health officials have detailed that there are 162,155 active cases while 221,485 patients have overcome COVID-19.

In the past few weeks, Colombia has entered the top ten countries hardest hit by the world’s coronavirus pandemic. It topped Iran first and then Chile, which is now ranked eighth on the ‘World.

“Colombia is at its peak,” said doctor Ramiro Guerrero during the daily address of Colombian President Iván Duque about the epidemiological situation in the country, according to the Ministry of Health.
