The Colombian Ministry of Health confirmed 13,056 new cases and 360 deaths this Wednesday. As a result, 502,178 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded and 15,979 deaths since the health crisis erupted in the country.
So far, 326,298 people have recovered from the disease, according to health officials, after the last 13,975 who received a medical discharge. Although there are still 158,893 active cases.
In his daily speech, Colombian President Iván Duque had the presence of Health Minister Fernando Ruiz, who reported that, as of the last update, 31 percent of ICU beds are available.
Ruiz emphasized that the balance sheets show “a downward trend at the epidemiological peak” of the country, whose capital Bogotá has recorded the most cases with 176,336 confirmed infections after the last 5,014 registered infections.
The departments of Antioquia follow the capital with 1,525 cases; Valle del Cauca with 1,053; and Cundinamarca with 670.
