Colombia broke the 345,000 case line this Wednesday after more than 10,000 new infected people were confirmed in the past 24 hours, according to the country’s health ministry.
In particular, Colombian health authorities this Wednesday confirmed 10,735 cases of COVID-19, which has increased Colombia’s global balance to 345,714 positive results.
Likewise, with the 309 deaths confirmed on the last day, Colombia already has 11,624 deaths as a result of the disease.
By region, Bogotá remains the most affected region by the pandemic in Colombia, with 117,793 positive results so far. Behind it are Atlántico with 55,663 infected and Valle del Cauca with 28,611 infected.
The Colombian Ministry of Health highlighted in its daily report that a total of 186,317 people have managed to recover from the disease in the Latin American country, 6,059 in the last 24 hours. However, 147,049 cases are still active.
