Colombia recorded more than 24,000 deaths from COVID-19 this Saturday, a number that has been hit with more than 758,000 confirmed cases, according to the country’s health ministry.
The Colombian health authorities’ balance is 24,039 deaths as a result of the disease caused by the new coronavirus, 186 of which were recorded in the last 24 hours.
Similarly, the Colombian Ministry of Health has reported 758,398 people infected in the country, with 7,927 more cases confirmed that day.
Bogotá is the Colombian region hardest hit by the pandemic, with 250,490 cases. Behind are Atlántico and Valle del Cauca with 66,512 and 56,837 cases respectively.
On the flip side, health officials have announced that 6,164 people have managed to recover from the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of COVID-19 cured in Colombia to 627,685. For their part, 105,083 cases are still active.
