Colombia passed the 10,000 coronavirus deaths this Friday after registering nearly 300 new ones in the past 24 hours. This emerges from the latest balance offered by the country’s Ministry of Health.
In particular, Colombia added 295 deaths this Friday, bringing the worldwide death toll to 10,105. 9,488 new infections have been confirmed, so the Latin American country already has 295,508 cases of COVID-19.
Bogotá, the epicenter of the pandemic in Colombia, has so far counted 101,955 people. It is followed by Atlántico with 52,313 positives and Valle del Cauca with 24,660 cases.
The Colombian health authorities have also highlighted that 154,387 people have already recovered from the disease, 5,692 more than the previous day. However, 130,403 cases remain active.
