Colombia broke the barrier of 300,000 coronavirus cases on Saturday, registering more than 10,000 new positives in the past 24 hours. This emerges from the latest balance offered by the Ministry of Health.
In particular, the country added 10,673 COVID-19 infections this Saturday, increasing the total number in the Latin American country to 306,181. The agency said Colombia has reached 10,330 pandemic deaths, with 225 more deaths on the last day.
Health officials also said 6,321 other people have recovered from the pandemic, bringing a total of 160,708 to overcome the disease in Colombia.
Bogotá, the epicenter of the pandemic in Colombia, has totaled 104,656 infections so far; followed by Atlántico with 53,131 infections; and Valle del Cauca with 25,628.
