Colombia makes it easier to narrow down by opening churches, churches and airports

June 15, 2020

Colombian President Iván Duque signed on Sunday relief of imprisonment to curb the advance of the COVID-19 pandemic, and announced the opening of local churches, religious centers and airports, as well as community-based activities that did not register any cases to have.

This is a pilot measure by the government that can initially be implemented in regions and municipalities where no cases of COVID-19 have been registered, with the possibility of even opening bars and restaurants to the public.

Decree 487, ratified by Duque, empowers local authorities in areas not affected by the pandemic to reopen sports centers, but only for professional and high-performance athletes and individually.

However, you must first apply to the Home Office for permits for such openings, and submit the appropriate safety protocols with the approval of the local health authorities.
