Colombia has nearly 680,000 cases of COVID-19 after confirming more than 7,600 additional cases and 22,000 deaths after registering 200 new ones. This comes from the latest balance released by the country’s health authorities.
In particular, the Colombian Ministry of Health has estimated the new positive results at 7,665, bringing the global balance to 679,513 infected people. In terms of deaths, the 202 confirmed in the last 24 hours add up to a total of 21,817.
The hardest hit Colombian region continues to be Bogotá, which has 230,120 COVID-19 cases. It is followed by Atlántico with 65,294 and Valle del Cauca with 50,986.
In addition, the Colombian health authorities have reported that 541,462 people in the Latin American country have already managed to recover from the disease, 12,183 more than the previous day. On the contrary, 114,826 cases are still classified as active.
