The Colombian Ministry of Health reported this Friday that the country has reached 650,000 positive coronaviruses and 20,800 deaths according to the latest body information.
Health officials have said 8,488 new cases and 270 deaths have been confirmed in the past 24 hours. In addition, 9,070 other people have recovered after overcoming the disease.
Overall, the number of confirmed infections in the country has risen to 650,062 while the death toll stood at 20,888.
In Colombia, a total of 498,221 people have recovered from the pandemic and 129,608 cases remain active.
In terms of departments, Antioquia, which is hardest hit, has 86,426 positive results; followed by Atlántico with 64,847; and Valle del Cauca with 48,990 confirmed.
