Colombia exceeds 150,000 cases after adding more than 5,000 daily as Bogotá returns to quarantine

Colombia has exceeded 150,000 coronavirus cases in the past few hours after registering more than 5,000 cases in a single day, just as the capital, Bogotá, is preparing to quarantine on Monday due to the increase in infections.

According to the latest Ministry of Health bulletin, a further 5,083 cases were counted on the last day, a total of 150,445, and 188 new deaths in which 5,307 had already died.

Of the total, the Colombian authorities said there were 81,360 active cases, while 63,451 patients passed COVID-19.

Bogotá remains the area most affected by the pandemic in Colombia. In these 24 hours, he registered another 2,116 cases, which corresponds to a total of 49,644.
