Colombia has again confirmed more than 7,000 cases of coronavirus this Saturday, which it has said has exceeded 240,000 infections, according to the Ministry of Health.
Health authorities have reported that 7,254 new positives have been specifically counted, increasing the total number to 240,795 in the country.
In addition, there were 294 pandemic deaths this Saturday, so the corona virus has left 8,269 deaths in the country so far.
The Colombian ministry added that 5,803 more people have been recovered, so 119,667 have recovered since the pandemic started, while 112,371 cases are still active.
The region most affected by the coronavirus in Colombia is Bogotá, where “sectoral” quarantine is now slowing the spread of the disease. To date, Bogotá has confirmed 81,180 cases of coronavirus; followed by Atlántico with 47,573 positives; and Valle del Cauca with 20,876.
