The Colombian Ministry of Health said Tuesday that the country is bordering 160,000 cases of coronavirus after more than 5,600 new positives have been registered in the last 24 hours.
According to the Colombian health authorities, 5,621 new infections were diagnosed on Tuesday, which is why 159,898 cases have already occurred in the Latin American country. In addition, the 170 new deceased add up to a total of 5,625 deaths as a result of COVID-19 in Colombia.
By region, Bogotá is the most affected by the pandemic in Colombia, as it accumulates 53,131 positive events. Behind them are Atlántico with 35,649 and Valle del Cauca with 15,132.
The Colombian Ministry of Health has also highlighted that 2,997 people have managed to overcome the disease in the past 24 hours. 68,806 people have already been cured in the Latin American country. In contrast, 85,123 cases remain active.
