Colombia adds another 7,300 new cases of coronavirus and touches 200 deaths in the past 24 hours

The Colombian Ministry of Health recorded 7,355 new cases of coronavirus this Sunday, in addition to 190 more deaths and 6,565 new medical layoffs on the final day.

So far, Colombia has confirmed a total of 716,319 accumulated cases. This makes Colombia the sixth country in the world with the highest number of positive results and 22,924 deaths.

Out of the total number of accumulated cases, 599,385 correspond to people who managed to overcome the disease while another 92,498 remain active.

Bogotá continues to be the epicenter of the pandemic with a total of 240,287 cases accumulated since the first was recorded on March 6th.

Another of the hardest hit regions is the Valle del Cauca department, where 53,426 cases have already been recorded and the death of 2,013 people has been confirmed due to the coronavirus.
