Colombia adds almost 47,000 cases of coronavirus and surpasses Ecuador in the number of infected

The Colombian Ministry of Health has confirmed more than 1,600 additional cases of coronavirus this Friday, so the country is already nearly 47,000 infected and has overtaken Ecuador in terms of number of positive cases as it accounts for 45,778 cases.

In particular, Colombian health authorities have registered 1,646 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, increasing the balance to 46,858.

Bogotá is the region of Colombia most affected by the corona virus, with 14,940 positives registered. Atlántico is behind with 8,597 cases; Valle del Cauca at 5,443; Bolívar with 4,755; and finally Amazon with 2,091.

In addition, the 57 new deceased recorded 1,545 deaths in Colombia. The same Friday, 925 people recovered from COVID-19 in the country, a total of 18,715 healed in the Latin American country. This is evident from the balance that the Ministry of Health offered through its account on the social network Twitter.
